2010 Annual APHA Meeting – Radon Session

The American Public Health Association (APHA) 138th Annual Meeting and Expo took place this week in Denver, Colorado. With an estimated 12,000 number of attendees, the goal of this conference is to join everyone in the public health community – health practitioners, academics, government agencies and public health professionals – to share, learn and expand their knowledge in the current issues affecting the health of the American public.

Along with sessions such as “Current Topics in Cancer Prevention” and “Healthy Housing and Green Buildings,” this conference also included a session on radon testing and radon-induced lung cancer, entitled “Radon: Awareness and Health Impacts.”
